... basically, you cut small fragments (tips) of resilient staghorn coral
and let it grow in the Ocean... about a year later it will be large enough
to re-plant on reefs that need restored and resilient coral to grow...
All of this is done in the Atlantic Ocean, about 4 miles off shore,
not in an aquarium... this is part of a 4H project started in the
Florida Keys by Ken Dedimyer's daughter for her high school 4H project! :-)
how cool is that!... I set up the Facebook and "Causes.com" pages for Ken,
with underwater photos that i made from different coral restoration dives
we did in the Keys.
The photos are at: http://EcoDelMar.org/ken and http://EcoDelMar.org/coral
and the new conservation website is at: http://coralrestoration.org/coralrn/catalog/index.php
