Description:
The soft coral reef aquarium update shows how easy it is to have your own reef. This aquarium has no filter or expensive equipment. The center coral is a large Duncan that grew from 9 polyps in one year. The system has reef janitors hermit crabs and snails to control the algae.

Feb 21, 2012 - Been following your website for a while now and am always amazed at the growth with as simple a system you have filter wise. That method didn't work for me...Changed over to a big skimmer some time ago. Hows the tank doing now? Update video

Dec 1, 2012 - The opening image in the video stating it is a "soft coral reef".... 90% of the image is a stony coral (Duncanopsammia axifuga). I thought Sally Jo was all about educating people about corals and reefs. :-(
