Description:
In Palau SCUBA divers use reef hooks for many reasons. Palau is well-know for its epic drift dives, and reef hooks help divers remain in one spot to view the "action." It is very common in Palau to "hook-in" to the dead corals on top of the reef, while using the other end to attach to your B/C, inflate it, and watch the action in front of you. When we dive sites such as Blue Corner, Siase Corner, Peleliu Corner, New Drop Off, and Peleliu Cut, we will also carry a reef hook, to give us the option to hook in. When we hook in, grey reef sharks, black and white tip sharks, schools of jacks, moorish idols, sweet lips, bump head parrot fish, dog-tooth tuna, yellow fin tuna, sometimes marlin, are just some of the examples of the marine life you will see, swimming right in front of you. Jason Maluchluw is our lead guide, who will take you here and lead through some truly amazing dives. Once you use a reef-hook in Palau, hook-in and view the action, we are sure you will be "hooked" on Palau.
